Shinobu Ohtaka's Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is loosely based on One Thousand and One Nights (أَلْفُ لَيْلَةٍ وَلَيْلَةٌ, Alf Laylah wa-Laylah) with many of the characters taking names from the Arabic folktales.
