Compress your Djinn's large powers into your own body and allow yourself to materialize as your own Djinn. That is basics of using a Djinn!!

—Seven Dungeon Capturer Sinbad, explaining the proper way to use a Djinn

A Djinn Equip (魔装, Masō, "magic dress") is an ability of a Dungeon Capturer to take a compressed humanoid form of a Djinn, gaining them access to the Djinn's specific magic while empowering the form with Magoi. The Djinn Equip exists as the Full and Weapon Equip types. When using Djinn Equip, the Metal Vessel's eight-pointed star glows to show its activation. With the suspension of the Sacred Palace in the Final Arc, Djinn Equip became non-existence due to the ceased activity of the Metal Vessels.

Achieving[]

To achieve a Djinn Equip, a Dungeon Capturer must use their Metal Vessel to allow oneself to become one with their Djinn. This is done by compressing the Djinn's power onto themselves. While channeling the power of a Djinn is available immediately upon conquering a dungeon, access to a full-body Djinn Equip seems to require some amount of training to achieve. It is possible for users to achieve a half Djinn Equip, although this appears far weaker than the standard version.

Appearance[]

When one use Djinn Equip, the user does not take the appearance of the Djinn in terms of personal features (facial features, body hair, etc), but rather the cloths, jewelry or even skin tattoo complexion like gills or skin color. It seems a common trait with Full body Djinn Equips is a third eye ornament on the forehead and possessing their Djinn Weapon Equip (Half Djinn Equip).

Abilities[]

The Djinn Equip is described as the Djinn itself dwelling within the user's body. As a result, the user obtains a massive increase in strength, speed, and power. It is not uncommon for users of the Djinn Equip to be capable of changing the landscape with their power, with the power of a single Djinn Equip user capable of destroying a small country with ease.

While the powers granted by each Djinn varies greatly, there are two general abilities that are available apart from the general increase in physical attributes. Firstly, seemingly all users of the Djinn Equip are able to fly at high speeds, although this ability can be hampered by disrupting the "sash" of the user. Secondly, users are all granted some form of regeneration or healing, though this is shown to be inconsistent. While Sinbad was able to regain multiple lost limbs and debilitating damage simply by switching his Djinn Equips, Hakuryuu was unable to do so during battle and was forced to use wooden prosthetics to supplement his injuries.

While it is possible to obtain multiple Djinn, it is impossible to use the magic of one Djinn while using the Djinn Equip of another. Users are capable of switching between Djinn Equips fairly quickly for tactical purposes, even combining the magic of one Djinn to supplement the power of another. The sole exception to this rule seems to be Belial, where the user is capable of using other Djinn's magic even if they are using Belial's Djinn Equip.

Full Djinn Equip[]

The true Djinn Equip completed by the Dungeon Capturers and empowered by their Magoi. The Dungeon Capturer transforms into their Djinn by posing with their Vessel and chanting the following template to summon their power, but depending on the wielder, a different chant can be made:

Spirit of -Djinn's Tribe Title-. I command thee...Be clad in my body. Dwell in my body. Change my body into a great Djinn, -Djinn's Name-!!!
「-Djinn's Tribe Title-の精霊せいれいよ。なんじめいず。まと宿やどれ。おおいなる魔神まじんせ………-Djinn's Name-!!!」

—Dungeon Capturer, Full Djinn Equip Chant Template

For example, the Djinn of Hunting and Nobility:

Spirit of Hunting and Nobility. I command thee...Be clad in my body. Dwell in my body. Change my body into a great Djinn, Barbatos!!!
狩猟しゅりょう高潔こうけつ精霊せいれいよ。なんじめいず。まと宿やどれ。おおいなる魔神まじんせ………バルバトス!!!」

Muu Alexius, Barbatos Djinn Equip

Becoming their Djinn, the Dungeon Capturer gains an appearance inspired by their Djinn's original appearance without the blue skin. Because the Djinn were originally denizens of Alma Torran, the full Djinn Equip transforms the Dungeon Capturer into a humanoid, handsome racial version of the Djinn's original race with related jewelry and an ornament placed on the forehead to emulate the Magicians' third eye. If the form deviates too much from humans, tattoo art and extra external ornaments are used to express the original race, such as Barbarossa and his full Djinn Equip Glasya-Labolas or Sinbad and his full Djinn Equip Crocell.

Djinn Weapon Equip[]

Also called Half Djinn Equip. For Dungeon Capturers who are not yet able to perform full Djinn Equip, or only want to use the Weapon Version. The user first surrounds the Metal Vessel with Magoi and compresses around it to form the Djinn's Weapon. Using this same principle to surround the body allows one to fully Djinn Equip. This is the proper way to use a Djinn's power, rather than just exploding the power outwards.

Extreme Magic[]

Extreme Magic is a Magic skill that only masters of Djinn equip can use. It is ultimate technique that utilizes an incantation to fully summon. According to Alibaba, if the eight-pointed star is cut down while someone is using Djinn Equip, the metal vessel will break. [1]

Variations[]

Dark Djinn Equip[]

The Dark Djinn Equip functions similarly to the standard Djinn Equip, with the user becoming one with their respective Djinn. However, the results are often much more monstrous, where the user's size and shape can be more drastically altered similar to their respective Djinn, although this is not always the case.

As the power of Dark Djinn do not come from the original 72 Djinn from Alma Torran, Dark Djinn Equip tend to be far weaker than their more traditional counterparts, to the point that skilled Household Members are able to defeat them in single combat. Even so, the power granted still poses a dangerous threat.

Dark Djinn Equip starts, most of the time, by the user stabbing themselves with their Dark Metal Vessels.
