The Magi: Adventures of Sinbad series follows the origins of Sinbad. Long before he would become the famous King of Sindria, Sinbad was a small boy of humble beginnings, living in the Parthevia Empire with his father Badr and his mother Esra.

Badr is forced back into a war where he ultimately loses his life, leaving Sinbad alone to take care of his sick mother. One day, Sinbad happens upon the mysterious Yunan and provides him with shelter, unaware that he's one of the mystical magi.

Esra asks Yunan to help Sinbad channel all his great ambitions and fierce determinations. Yunan decides to choose Sinbad as his King candidate and guides him to the Dungeon called "Baal", where untold treasures await him should he conquer it. However, warriors from Reim also try to conquer the Dungeon at the same time, bringing Sinbad into conflict with a noble nicknamed "Drakon".

Following a fierce battle, Sinbad becomes the world's first-ever Dungeon Capturer. Afterward, Sinbad returns home one last time to be with his mother on her deathbed. Empowered with new abilities and even greater determination, Sinbad leaves Parthevia on his own adventure to change the world.
